The 2009 Western Australian Childcare Awards was an outstanding success. Over 150 people attended the Awards Ceremony at Burswood on Swan on October 23rd 2009.

The 2009 Northern Territory Childcare Awards was an outstanding success.

COAG has now endorsed the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Agenda.

Early Childhood Intervention Australia (WA Chapter) is again sponsoring this event for children and families. The success of the event depends on community and local involvement, and we are seeking your organisation's support for Kites for Kids.

Over 600 early childhood administrators, trainers, caregivers, public officials, and advocates from 70+ countries gathered in Belfast for the 2009 World Forum to exchange ideas about the quality of services for young children in diverse settings. This Forum was hosted by Early Years, the highly-respected comprehensive early childhood agency working in Northern Ireland and throughout Europe. The 2009 World Forum marked the 10th Anniversary of World Forum Foundation. In these 10 years, over 5,000 early childhood professionals from 90 nations have participated in World Forum gatherings.

Do you know someone in the Children's Services Sector who deserves to be recognised?

The West Australia Child Care Awards recognise the dedication, professionalism and innovation of those working in the children's services sector here in Western Australia.

This year's awards will be presented in the following categories:
  • Innovative Service Award
  • Individual Leadership Award
  • Children's Services Worker Award for 2009-Peer nominated
  • Nutrition Excellence Award

The awards ceremony will be on 30th October.

The WA 2009 Child Care and Early Childhood Education Conference was by all accounts a resounding success.  Approximately 470 delegates registered for the conference—which exceeded all our expectation; we received 180 completed evaluations.  

On Wednesday February 25 CHILD Australia held a cocktail function at the Kings Park Function Centre to mark the official launch of our new name.
