The 2009 Western Australian Childcare Awards was an outstanding success. Over 150 people attended the Awards Ceremony at Burswood on Swan on October 23rd 2009.

Over 600 early childhood administrators, trainers, caregivers, public officials, and advocates from 70+ countries gathered in Belfast for the 2009 World Forum to exchange ideas about the quality of services for young children in diverse settings. This Forum was hosted by Early Years, the highly-respected comprehensive early childhood agency working in Northern Ireland and throughout Europe. The 2009 World Forum marked the 10th Anniversary of World Forum Foundation. In these 10 years, over 5,000 early childhood professionals from 90 nations have participated in World Forum gatherings.

The WA 2009 Child Care and Early Childhood Education Conference was by all accounts a resounding success. Approximately 470 delegates registered for the conference—which exceeded all our expectation; we received 180 completed evaluations.
