Mandatory Reporting and Children’s Sexualised Behaviours
Facilitator: Sue Hyde
This workshop looks at the regulations and policy of when and how to report issues of concern about a child’s safety and care . If is important that educators understand what to do, how to manage disclosures and when and if to report and how to seek advice if they are not sure that they have enough evidence.
The second part of the workshop will look at how to teach children that their body warns them if they are not safe, how to teach then who and how to get adult help and there is nothing so awful you can’t talk about it. We also discuss the importance of open and honest communication around keeping our body safe. We investigate what is normal behaviour, concerning behaviour and behaviour that indicates extreme concern.
