This workshop is covered by the National Quality Standard – QA5 Relationships with children. Experiencing ‘belonging’—knowing where and with whom you belong—is integral to human existence. In early and middle childhood throughout life, relationships are crucial to a sense of belonging.
Relationships and a sense of belonging are also integral to a child developing essential skills of a resilient nature. As educators, it is our work that makes a contribution to children building their skills in resilience through the opportunities we make.
Learning Outcomes:
- What is resilience?
- The skills children need to become resilient.
- How to recognise and create opportunities for children that support them to develop resilience.
