Road to Excellence 2022: Bus Tour

October 21 @ 9:45 AM - 4:30 PM ACST

Suitable for: Early Education and Care Sector, All Early Childhood Practitioners

This morning tour by bus is an opportunity to reflect upon the many forms of “excellence” within the context of the Australian National Quality Framework, and the road traveled by three services focusing on the theme of “Building Positive Relationships”.

Using the inspiration gained from visiting these services, participants will be able to use their observations to provide further stimulus for change on how services approach to practice and the continued journey towards excellence.

This year’s tour includes a “Building Positive Relationships” Masterclass for participants to investigate the theories behind relationship building, and how they reflect educators’ philosophies around how children learn and develop a sense of security.  It provides ideas to consider while interacting with children, setting up your environment, as well as modelling positive educator to child interactions.

Departing Child Australia Palmerston Service at 10:00 AM sharp, we will visit Farrar Early Learning Centre, Nightcliff Community Early Learning Centre and Bagot Outside School Hours Care. The tour also includes a light lunch (included in the ticket price) and the Building Positive Relationships Masterclass.

Due to limited seating, any cancellations less than 2 business days before the bus tour are not refundable, however, you may transfer your registration to a suitable colleague for no additional cost.

Health and safety declaration: Mandated vaccination COVID-19

At Child Australia ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our employees, families, children and clients is paramount. State and territory governments have declared public health orders mandating all early childhood education and care sector employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19 in their state or territory. Employers and workers need to comply with any public health orders that apply to them.

Before any face-to-face professional development or consultation can occur, we need to ensure all staff working on site and/or attending training are vaccinated as per government directives.

By clicking the box, I acknowledge that I have understood the above information and accept the terms of this agreement confirming that I have been vaccinated under the CHO/Public Health order directive and I have proof of vaccination to provide on the day of this event, I understand that Child Australia has the right to cancel the booking with the full cost of the service being charged and any other paid costs being non-refundable.
