
Supporting Children’s Wellbeing and Emotional Development
Loose parts play, child-led play and learning, risk-rich play environments, nature play, unpacking identity – from a child’s perspective, supporting children’s wellbeing and emotional development and guiding behaviour in ECEC are all part of this comprehensive workshop.
Learning outcomes:
- Better understanding how children self-regulate and how we as educators can support children to self-regulate.
- Supporting children to identify and connect with feelings and emotions.
- Supporting children to develop empathy and better understand other’s emotions.
- Supporting children to set limits and understanding expectations with behaviour.
- How our interactions and relationships with children affect children’s wellbeing and emotional development.
- How to create positive respectful relationships with children.
