Understanding Behaviour: Learning to Respond (Darwin)

May 2, 2017 @ 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM UTC+0

This workshop is guided by the overarching understandings that all children want to succeed, and, there is a reason behind all behaviours. Based on these, the course aims to outline what ‘Behaviour Guidance’ and ‘Self-Regulation’ involve. These two understandings will be explored, demonstrating the links between the two, and how they apply to the education setting. We will also explore the importance of attachment, the developing brain and the impact this can have on how children’s behaviour develops.

Learning Outcomes:

  • What behaviour guidance and self-regulation are
  • The links between behaviour and self-regulation
  • How to apply this knowledge to your daily practice.
